Young Stock Herdsperson

Caldhame Farms require 2 x full time experienced herdsman/woman to work primarily with young stock and also assist with rearing approximately 600 calves per annum on an all year round calving program. The work also entails the management and feeding of 150 suckler calf to beef system made up of Angus, Hereford and Limousin cows. You may also be required to occasionally help out in the milking parlour.

Essential criteria

• The ability to operate plant and equipment is necessary (please note this is not a tractor driving job)
• A full driving licence is required
• The successful candidate will be required to work on a rota basis which will include working weekends from time to time

• The usual holiday and pensions entitlements apply to these positions.

• Salary £23500 pa
