Ensuring all aspects of production are carried out to exact quality specifications and that good manufacturing practice are continuously followed within the plant in order to ensure a safe and legal product is produced.
Ensure compliance with DAFM, BRC, Bord Bia, MPQAS and customer standards and specifications.
Manages customer audits & follow up actions in required timescales.
Liaise with customers on product specifications and complaints.
Manages customer complaints, investigation, and implementation of necessary corrective actions
Continually review existing Food Safety Management systems in line with legislative & customer requirements.
Co-ordinate Quality & Food Safety meetings to discuss and action product quality and product process control issues.
Monitor the various stages of production and ensure that quality checks are being carried out and compliance with the HACCP system.
Ensure internal audits are carried out and non-conformances rectified in identified time scales.
Keep up to date with food legislation and any changes which affect the company.
Responsible for supervising all checks deemed necessary to ensure that the quality and safety standards BRC, Bord Bia MPQAS and customer requirements are met constantly
Liaises with the Site /Operational Manager to ensure all aspects of food safety & legislative requirements are upheld across the site.
Technical Manager will ensure that all processes & controls on the site abide with environmental requirements as guided by the site environmental licence
To continuously promote site continuous improvement and to communicate all ideas to site management.
3 years in a technical management role within an accredited food production facility.
Experience of working with Retail Multiples in Ireland and UK an advantage.
