Responsible to: Managing Director
Responsible for: Stores, Despatch & Planning Departments
Purpose: The supply chain manager is responsible for overseeing all activities associated with our supply chain, to include production planning, storage, organising services, order picking, loading and delivering products to customers. You will be responsible for improving productivity and efficiency and reducing costs.

The Role:
• Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards and regulations
• Negotiating terms and prices with haulage companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices
• Analysing the supply chain data and solving any issues or putting alternative plans in place
• Identifying and minimising risk by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process
• Scheduling of daily production in line with customer demand
• Communicate effectively with customer regarding order status
• Managing stores inventory, order picking and distributing
• Developing safety guidelines, teaching and implementing protocols
• Training and development of supply chain teams
• Represent supply chain department at senior management team meetings

The Candidate:
• Ideally you will have graduated from a Business based degree
• Knowledge/ experience FMCG, preferably fresh food
• Powerful communication skills, able to establish and maintain relationships at all levels within the business and our customers
• Self-starter, able to work autonomously and engage key people at all levels
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel)
• Flexible and able to perform in a fast moving constantly changing environment
