We are currently looking for an enthusiastic stock person to join the team on our large mixed farm.
Main practises on the farm include a Dairy unit milking 320 cows, Pig enterprise consisting of 2755 sows and 32,500 pigs, Cereals, Potatoes, Daffodils and various Renewable enterprises including and Anaerobic Digester Plant.
We are currently farming around 1800 Hectares.
Based on the North East Coast, South Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Main duties within this role are to take ownership of our 160 beef suckler, young dairy replacement stock, fattening and calving.
Main duties
- Day to day feeding and bedding
- Administering medicine
- Calving
- Ear tagging
- Ordering feed
- Communicating with nutritionist and Administrator
- Liaising with vet
- Farm audits
Essential criteria
- The ideal candidate must be comfortable with cows, demonstrate a high standard of animal health care, attention to detail, a willingness to learn and progress, work on own initiative and work as part of a team.
- Good house keeping skills essential and correct attitude towards Farm Health & Safety.
- Full Driving Licence required.
Additional information
- Salary will be in the region of £30,000 dependent on experience.
- 45 – 48 hours per week with every second weekend working.
- 3-bedroom accommodation available.
