An objective of this job description is to provide you with guidance on your main responsibilities and duties as a Quality Process Controller in Western Brand Lisnaskea site. Please note that the information provided is not exhaustive. Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills are important. Our aim is to provide you with any necessary training and support that you may require to enable to carry out your duties effectively.

Main purpose of job

To monitor product quality, using Standard Operating Procedures, to ensure same is manufactured to the required Customer, Company and Legislative Specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain personal hygiene and observe Company Hygiene Rules.
  • Complete relevant documentation legibly, accurately and at specified times.
  • Non-Conformances: Frying / Packing / High Risk. Liaise with the Supervisor / Team Leader and monitor until the process is returned to specification requirements.
  • Carry out effective Test Runs at commencement of each product.
  • Ensure monitoring equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Collect samples as per requirement and place in correct storage locations.
  • Monitor and record Product temperatures as per procedure.
  • Maintain all product checks as required, especially those which are at Critical Control Points, e.g. Metal Detection, Chilling and Cooking.
  • Monitor product presentation (Crumb cover, Shapes, Seals, etc.). Take corrective action as necessary.
  • Liaise with Supervisor / Team Leader to ensure a hygienic production area is being maintained and that operative hygiene standards are being met, e.g. Hand washing, PPE, No chewing etc.
  • Report concerns or problems immediately to the relevant personnel.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Observe Company Safety Rules and information.
  • Ensure safe working practises.
