As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a pivotal role ensuring that all manufactured goods are produced according to quality specifications and aligned with government regulations and standards.

You’ll be responsible for daily management of the lab including ordering lab consumables, preparation of reagents, microbiological and shelf-life analysis, interpretation and associated trending of results and follow up of raw materials testing.

Collecting data and prepare monthly reports to both Baileys sites and the wider business containing information relating to KPI data, supplier faults and comparison. You’ll work with multi-functional teams across the site to continually improve systems and processes. You’ll participate and contribute to regular team meetings and be able to provide clear solutions and support of all quality instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability of information.

You’ll coach, influence and develop team members across the site and deliver quality and hygiene focussed training sessions to the operational team.

Salary: £30,553.55 base salary

Shifts: Standard shift pattern – Rotating day shifts Monday to Friday +15% shift premium

Peak 24hr running – Three shift pattern, 8hr Sunday night to Friday – +25% shift premium.

About you

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will require the ability to drive positive improvements, problem solve and communicate effectively across all levels with confidence and honesty as you will be working closely with people from all levels of the business and third parties associated with our quality agenda.

You’ll be an excellent teammate and be able to prioritise your own workload while demonstrating flexibility and using initiative whilst under pressure.

You’ll possess a degree in a food or chemical related science or an equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience.

It would be beneficial to have demonstratable experience working in a food production, manufacturing or Bottling/Canning but this is not essential.
