Quality Assurance Manager

 Sauce Master Ltd is a family run business. We have over 30 years’ experience in sauce manufacturing, contract manufacturing and product development.

Job description:
  • Manage factory QMS. Ensure that all managers and responsible individuals develop and maintain their part of the QMS.
  • Compliance with relevant legislation across the organisation;
  • Lead HACCP team;
  • Carry regular factory’s audits. Auditing factory hygiene standards, reporting to department managers and trending results. Monitoring non-conformances and initiating corrective actions. Ensure cleaning schedules are accurate;
  • Assist on any external / internal factory audits. Manage Internal audits schedule;
  • Produce reports and presentations when requested;
  • Provide regular Food Safety trainings to site’s personnel as and when required;
  • Regularly communicate to Board of Directors of any non-conformances, changes in legislation, and new requirements in Food Standards;
  • To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc;
  • Manage non-conformances, documenting and reporting corrective actions and driving continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Ensuring that certification to Quality Standards and registration to care standards is achieved and maintained;
  • Liaise closely with customers on technical issues, communicate their requirements to the site whilst resolving and minimising complaints;
  • Utilise and develop appropriate KPIs to monitor, maintain and improve the product safety, quality and legal information to meet site’s Quality objectives and quality standards, ensuring compliance with the established policies and procedure
  • Management of serious incidents and corrective actions / preventative measures.
Experience:

Desirable Criteria

  • Degree in Food related discipline (Food Science, Food Technology, etc.)
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3
  • Detailed knowledge of Quality Standards/ HACCP/ Food Safety, auditing & Inspection • IT proficient and competent in use of Microsoft Word & Excel • Ability to manage tasks & projects independently
  • Ability to show initiative and demonstrate problem solving skills
  • HACCP Level 3 qualification

Salary – negotiable

Job Type – Part Time, Flexible Working Hours. Permanent
