Overview:
We are looking who someone who has a passion for food and new product development. The candidate should be a positive, energetic, and committed individual who is highly motivated and has excellent communication skills. This role supports the development and optimization of the company’s product range. This role involves being creative and having a keen interest on observing facts and figures about the market. The candidate must work as part of a small team, leading the vision of new products, from vision through to launch.

Key Responsibility:
Including but not limited to:
• Complete finished product specifications and approve artwork in accordance with critical paths to facilitate successful product launches.
• Liaise with purchasing regarding identification and procurement of new ingredients / packaging
• Liaise with all departments on all aspects of new product development
• Present facts and ideas clearly and accurately to customers when required in a supporting role with the New Product Development Manager.
• Product set up and launch in accordance with company and customer requirements.
• Develop and innovate new products and processes with ownership of projects from concept to launch.
• To assist on all aspect of product development from project concept to product launch.

Required:
• Third level qualification in Food Science or similar or substantial practical experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience of writing food specifications with knowledge of major retailers’ online specification systems, artwork approval and critical paths.
• Excellent attention to detail whilst being able to organise workload to achieve key deadlines.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
