General Farm Worker

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join a family run farm in the Strabane area, Co- Tyrone, BT82 8NZ.

Main enterprise is a pullet raring poultry unit for Moy Park comprising of 55,000 birds. Second component of the business is a new robotic dairy unit for 70 cross bred cows with all replacement/ beef calves reared on the farm.

Main duties include:

• General farm work on a robotic dairy farm and poultry unit.
• Self Motivated and good time management with the ability to work on own initiative.
• Tractor work/General Farm Maintenance
• The ideal candidate must be comfortable with cows and chickens, demonstrate a high standard of animal health care, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Good house keeping skills essential and correct attitude towards work and Farm Health & Safety.
• Full Driving Licence required
• Experience desirable however not essential as training can be provided on site.

Working a 4 days on 4 days off basis with optional overtime.

Wage £10 per hour – this may be negotiable for the right person.

New accommodation available on the Poultry unit if required.
