Dairy Farm Worker

Glenhill Farm is a progressive modern dairy farm beside Poyntzpass BT35 6TF, consisting of 150 Holstein dairy cows and replacements.

Milking is twice a day in a new 24:24 fully automated DairyMaster milking parlour. Cows are grazed during the day and housed at night. Calves are reared using automatic calf feeders. Young stock also grazed outdoors.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person for part time work, approximately 20 hrs per week. Ideally spread over 4/5 days but can be flexible for the right candidate. Potential for more hours to become available.

Work will be mainly using machinery- diet feeding, slurry, fertiliser, scrapping and bedding. Some animal husbandry duties depending on the time of year. Option to do 1 or 2 milking a week if candidate wished.

Experience is preferred and a full driving licence is desirable.

Hourly rate of pay £10/hour and we will endeavour to provide the hours to suit the ideal candidate.
