Greenmount Association

Whether you are interested in reminiscing past adventures with friends, seeing how the campus has embraced innovation and developed over the years the Greenmount Association has something to offer you. As a past Greenmount Campus student, whether Agriculture, Engineering, Floristry, Horticulture or Veterinary Nursing, we encourage you to become an active member of the Greenmount Association.

We want to preserve the essence of the Greenmount Association, whilst adapting to the evolving needs of the newer members. One of our objectives is to increase the frequency and variety of events hosted by the Association. We plan to organise a number of seasonal gatherings to allow members reconnect and engage with former classmates. If you haven’t been in contact with the college for a while, now is the opportunity to reconnect with the college.

Greenmount Association’s New President

The Greenmount Association is delighted to announce that Lisa Burrows has been elected as its new President at the November 2025 committee meeting. Lisa, originally from Ballynahinch, now lives near Tandragee. Lisa studied at the campus as part of her BSc (Hons) Degree in Agriculture Technology course, which is offered in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast. Following her graduation in 2021, Lisa progressed onto the postgraduate Master’s programme in Business for Agri-Food and Rural Enterprise delivered by CAFRE. Lisa is employed in the agri-food sector, working with ABP-Linden as a Livestock Officer since 2022. Speaking about her new role, Lisa said:
“I’m honoured to take on the role of President and look forward to engaging with members of the Association. I would encourage students, past and present, to get involved in the events we have planned and help keep the Greenmount spirit alive.”

Each year the college organises a 40 year reunion for former students. In July 2024, we are delighted to welcome back to Greenmount Campus students from the Class of 1984. A tour of the campus and in particular the student accommodation sparked many memories with exchanging tales of the fun times had back in the day. The group had an informative tour of the Horticulture Development Centre, followed by a tour of the Machinery and Buildings Centre and no visit to Greenmount would be complete without a stop to the Dairy Centre.

If you, or someone you know was a member of the Class of 1985 please get in touch, we’re planning a reunion in early autumn.

The Greenmoutaineer

To help former students keep up-to-date with activities and news at Greenmount Campus, we take a annual look back at the year. Covid disrupted the publication of the Greenmountaineer, but we are delighted to share with you the 2024 edition of the magazine.
