Equine Apprenticeship Training at CAFRE

Millie Mulvenna from Gilford completed her Level 2 Apprenticeship while working with Ronnie Morton and has now progressed on to the Level 3 programme. She is also working towards her British Horse Society (BHS) Stage 3 qualification as part of her course. Reflecting on her experience, Millie said:
“I thoroughly enjoyed my Level 2 Apprenticeship at CAFRE so progressing on to the Level 3 was a straightforward move for me. Apprenticeship training has given me an excellent foundation for developing knowledge within the equine industry and building skills that I could immediately apply in the workplace. It’s great to meet other students who were also working in the sector, allowing us to share experiences and learn from each other. The staff at Enniskillen Campus are incredibly supportive.”
Training is delivered through online theory classes with CAFRE Lecturers Jenny Richardson and Chris Bogues, alongside practical blocks at Enniskillen Campus. Chris highlights the programme’s strengths:
“The CAFRE Apprenticeship in the Equine Industry programmes combine practical experience, academic learning, and professional development. During their block release students access the specialist facilities at Enniskillen Campus and have the chance to gain additional qualifications such as British Horse Society exams, which are highly regarded in the industry.”
