Landscape expert shares experience and skills
March 31, 2025
CAFRE was delighted to host Landscape Gardening Expert, Steve Smith, director of Shore Landscapes in West Sussex, England.

Steve visited Greenmount Campus from Tuesday, 25 March until Thursday, 27 March to meet Landscape Gardening enthusiasts who are studying Horticulture. Students from various classes all came together to participate in an excellent training session. Steve, with the help of CAFRE Staff, taught the students various skills. This included bricklaying, cladding, paving and setting out. Students were also inspired by Steve’s presentation providing an overview of his career. All Horticulture students are offered the opportunity to compete in Landscape Gardening at a National level, training such as this provides students with skills and confidence to succeed.
