USA adventure for CAFRE food students

February 4, 2022

Three lucky Honours Degree Food students from Loughry Campus have begun their studies at Michigan State University (MSU) as part of the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) / MSU Student Exchange Programme.

Bethany Boyd (Rathfriland), Orla Lavery (Aghalee) and Amy Frost (Moneymore) were the successful recipients of the CAFRE / MSU Bursary and have started studying at the prestigious University for a five month placement. While at CAFRE, Bethany studies Food Business Management, Orla, Food Technology and Amy, Food Nutrition and Innovation. At MSU they have enrolled to study on different modules that complement their courses, but will also get the opportunity to study topics too.

Of course it is not all about study. MSU is a little different compared to CAFRE! There are 50, 000 students, 5, 000 staff and over 300 clubs and societies for the students to enjoy. The girls have already booked tickets to attend their first American Football game and plans are also afoot to do some travelling. What an amazing experience life at MSU will offer!

If you are up for an American adventure why not consider studying for a BSc (Honours) Degree at CAFRE?
