2019 Open Morning At Enniskillen Campus
Parents and guardians of the Level 3 Year 1 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management students were recently invited to Enniskillen Campus for an update on the progression of individual students.
Teegan Hamill and Lucy Donaldson gave a presentation outlining the range of modules that the students are covering in their course, and highlights of the year so far. Visitors were then guided to the outdoor arena where Lucy Coulter, Nadia Scanlon, Jenni Shields and Anna McGuinness were riding some of our college racehorses assisted by Instructor Corrie Auchterlonie. Riding out takes place every morning and students who choose to take part in this learn many skills which are invaluable when they graduate.

Next stop was the indoor arena where Lucy Donaldson, Brooklyn Edwards, Nina Latimer, Beth O’Leary, Katie Sheehan and Levana Regan were working on pole work under the guidance of Julie McSwiggan, Equine Technologist. Pole work helps the riders with balance, rhythm and effectiveness of the aids. In the Equitation Yard Amy Rowlands and Anastazja Karnaszewska were showing the structures of the lower limb while Lauren Patterson, Grace Keys and Emma-Mary O’Connor demonstrated their plaiting skills.
The day finished up with a well needed cup of tea to warm everyone up and an opportunity for an academic update on each student on an individual basis with their Year Manager Arlene Doris, Programme Manager Shelley Stuart, and lecturer Katie Wray. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all present.
