Extended Diploma in Agriculture graduate, Katie McCarragher was awarded the First Trust Bank award for Business Management and was congratulated by George Moffett, Head of Agriculture Education, CAFRE, Cathy Adams, Lecturer, CAFRE and Eoin Donnelly, Agri-business Manager, First Trust Bank.

Honours Degree graduate, Jack Wilson (Fivemiletown) was awarded The Lynne Dawson Memorial Award for the top student in Livestock Production at the Greenmount Campus Agriculture Awards Ceremony with Dr Mark Carson, Lecturer and Dr Kate Semple, Senior Lecturer, CAFRE.

Mr George Moffett, Head of Agriculture Education, CAFRE and Professor David Hassan, Associate Dean, Global Engagement, Ulster University, congratulated top Foundation Degree students Christopher Ruddock (Donaghcloney), Sarah Johnston (Cookstown) and Thomas Connolly (Ballygowan) when they graduated with Foundation degree qualifications with Distinction in Agriculture and Technology.

Christopher Ruddock (Donaghcloney) received the Ai Services Award from Brian Kennedy (Ai Services) and David Alexander, Lecturer, CAFRE at the Greenmount Campus Awards ceremony.

Honours Degree graduate, Robert Gamble (Bangor) was awarded the DAERA prize for the top student on the BSc (hons) Agricultural Technology degree. Robert is congratulated by Mr George Moffett, Head of Agriculture Education, Professor Nigel Scollan, Director of the Institute for Global Food Security, Queen’s University Belfast and Mr Martin McKendry, Director, CAFRE.

First class honours degree graduates, Robert Gamble, (Bangor), Josh Thompson, (Broughshane), Anna Truesdale, (Newcastle) and Jack Wilson, (Fivemiletown) were congratulated by Senior Lecturer, Dr Kate Semple and Professor Nigel Scollan, Director of the Institute for Global Food Security, Queen’s University Belfast.

Level 3 Extended Diploma in Agriculture graduates Conor Creith, (Armoy), Hazel Nicholson, (Monkstown), Sarah Davidson, (Kells), and Matthew Adams, (Glarryford), who all completed a one year work placement in New Zealand  was congratulated on their success by agriculture work placement manager , Joe Mulholland.

Prize winning Level 3 Diploma in Work based Agriculture students, Gareth McCrea, (Stewartstown) and Nial O’Hagan, (Desertmartin), were  congratulated by George Moffett, Head of Agriculture Education, CAFRE, Philip Holdsworth, Lecturer, CAFRE and Norman Fulton, Deputy Secretary, DAERA

Sarah Davidson, (Kells), winner of the Eric Boyce Perpetual Trophy for contributions to the Students’ Representative Council was congratulated by Barry Kelly, Assistant Accommodation Manager CAFRE at the Greenmount Campus Awards Ceremony

Greenmount students raised £2,250 for their chosen charity Links 2 Pink. Gayle Carson from the charity was presented with a cheque at the Greenmount Campus Awards Ceremony by graduate Sarah Davidson and Students’ Representative Council President, Laura Allen.
