FdSc Student designs “Best in Show” Cameo Garden at the recent Garden Show Ireland at Antrim Castle Grounds

Horticulture Foundation Degree student Emma Ervine has been putting theory into practice as she designed and built an award winning garden at the recent garden show in Antrim.

The Shamrock Garden included many features depicting our landscape heritage in Northern Ireland including a castle and motte. It was planted with a beautiful range of plants including native species and varieties of heritage apples.

The future is bright for Emma who has already had competition success this year when she was a finalist in the Kilsaran Garden Design Competition.  Emma is aiming to complete her FdSc in Horticuture (Landscape Design pathway) this June.
