Feel like doing something different with the kids this weekend or else just taking a stroll in some beautiful and unfamiliar surroundings? Why not join CAFRE and RSPB staff for an open weekend of wildlife discovery centered around the splendid Richardsons Walled Garden located in Greenmount Campus, Antrim, which is a BBC Breathing Place.
Throughout the weekend there will be lots of nature inspired activities for all the family and especially budding wildlife enthusiasts including; mini-beast safaris, pond dipping, ‘create a creature’ challenge which uses natural material to build and make new animals and planting for wildlife activity.
This is one of four opportunities for the public to visit the beautiful and colourful Greenmount Campus this summer. Experts will be on hand in the walled garden to answer your gardening and wildlife questions or offer advise on careers and courses relating to horticulture or the environment. The campus will be open on Saturday 4 July 10.30am to 5.00pm and on Sunday 5 July from 1.00pm – 6.00pm.
