Bottled Water Legislation Seminar
Wednesday 20 May 2009
The Food Standards Agency, Northern Ireland (FSANI) in partnership with CAFRE is hosting a seminar on bottled water legislation. This seminar is part of the continuing commitment to engage with producers and district councils to further develop practical understanding of food law.
This one day course is composed of two parts. The morning session will consist of presentations which will be relevant to both the processing sector and district council participants.
Topics covered will include:
- the experience of enforcers and producers of bottled water
- a primer on the hydrogeology of underground water sources (how to identify the ideal groundwater source, how to spot potential risks)
- the hygiene and microbiology issues associated with bottled water production.
The afternoon session will be for district council participants only and will examine in depth:
- practical scenarios involving groundwater and other bottled water sources
- the application of legislation and guidance in practical situations
(Full attendance of the seminar contributes towards 7 hours CPD)
