At a recent informal ceremony at The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), Greenmount Campus, Mrs Sally Dundee was presented the Imperial Service Medal (ISM) by College Director, John Fay. The ISM, one of the UK’s highest commendations, is awarded in recognition of long and faithful service within the Civil Service.
Sally joined the Civil service on 16th October 1967 when she took up the post of Administrative Assistant at Greenmount Hill Farm. She remained there for 26 years and then transferred to Greenmount Campus where she worked as an Administrative Officer in the Technology Division. She worked in several other admin units before finally joining the Lifelong Learning team.
Sally retired on 30th October 2007 having completed 40 years of faithful service in the Department. In all aspects of her work, Sally was approachable, flexible, dedicated, friendly and sincere. She had excellent working relationships with all staff and continues to be held in high esteem by all her colleagues at Greenmount.
