  • "Green" Conference proves the potential of the Green Pound
    The recent Greening your Supply Chain conference held at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) Loughry Campus, Cookstown demonstrated how “green policies” can increase efficiencies and reduce costs in the agri-food sector. The conference was well attended by a wide range of delegates from across the agri-food sector within Northern Ireland who heard how to make savings while adopting a “green approach”
  • Students raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution
    Loughry and Greenmount students, from the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), recently organised a campus charity fun day in aid of the RNLI, which is an independent charity, funded by voluntary donations and could not save lives at sea without the public’s support.

    O’Kane Poultry, Ballymena has generously awarded two bursaries to Food Technology Degree students Zita Blair, from Cookstown and Ciara McAllister, from Ballymena. Both students are currently studying for their honours degree at CAFRE’s Loughry Campus, Cookstown
