  • CAFRE present trees to school garden winners
    School teams who won Gold in the Alliance team challenge at the Airtricity Garden Festival last month attended a presentation at Greenmount Campus, Antrim recently and were presented with trees by Martin Wooster and Colin McKnight (horticulture instructors at CAFRE - Greenmount Campus)
  • Omagh Show Supports Tyrone Student At Greenmount
    Each year the Tyrone Farming Society awards a substantial bursary to a student studying on a higher education programme at Greenmount. This year’s recipient is Richard Marshall from Omagh who has just completed first year of the BSc Agricultural Technology programme at Greenmount which is offered in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast.

  • CAFRE students have time to skill
    Three top students from CAFRE are set to compete on the world stage as part of Landscaping World Skills in Birmingham later this summer. Matthew Bradley (Glenavy), Jonathan Gill (Ballynahinch), and Aaron Jamison (Downpatrick) represented CAFRE at the world skills trials in Yorkshire earlier this month and achieved a straight 1, 2, and 3 in the rankings.
