Loughry students raise £1202 for Children in Need
14 December 2009 For Children in Need 2009, students at Loughry Campus, College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) raised an excellent £1202. This total was raised as a result of Loughry’s ‘bin push’ through the streets of Cookstown with supportive students braving the weather and the college bins! A special thanks to Pudsey Bear (David Hughes, Ballymoney) and sidekick Yogi Bear (Andrew Dowdalls, Fintona) who made a special appearance in aid of the appeal. Moreover, the students, staff (and of course Pudsey Bear) would like to say a big thank you to all members of the public and local businesses, who contributed most generously to the Children in Need Appeal.
