Pathways to success!
05 August 2010

Loughry graduates Grainne Rafferty and Wendy Speer will have to clear some space on their mantelpieces! In additional to receiving the National Diploma and National Certificates respectively, both students scooped some silverware at the Campus’s recent Awards Day.

Both are looking forward to progressing to Higher Education next year. Grainne completed a full-time National Diploma in Food Nutrition and Health. She has always harboured an interest in this field and come September she’ll be enrolling on a BSc (Hons) programme in Food and Nutrition at the University of Ulster in Coleraine.

Wendy already has a career as a Food Service Manager. Joining the National Certificate programme just three short years ago has really fired up an enthusiasm for learning. The subjects she studied have all been relevant to her work and she has decided to further her knowledge by signing up for a part time BSc (Hons) in Food Technology at Loughry at the end of the summer.

If you are interested in part-time or full-time qualifications that will not only enhance your career prospects, but let you step up to a degree – come along to Loughry’s Open Evening on Thursday 26 August 2010.
