Employment success for Loughry graduates
18 August 2010 As well as celebrating their graduation Loughry students are able to look forward to excellent employment success. Loughry graduates are highly sought after in the food industry and a number of our final year students had even secured jobs before their graduation. Loughry graduates Jill Bristow and Danielle Curry celebrated their achievements at the Campus’s recent Awards Day. Both students received a BSc Honours Degree in Food Technology and an armful of silverware to go with it. Their hard work certainly paid off with both students securing immediate employment in the Northern Ireland Food Industry. Jill is currently employed as a New Product Development Technologist with the O’Kane Poultry Group and Danielle is working in Freeza Meats in a Quality Assurance role. Loughry offers courses in Food, Nutrition and Health, Food Technology, Food Management and Marketing, Food Design and Nutrition, Packaging and Communication. Courses are available at all levels from National Diploma, suitable for students with GCSE’s to Degree and Masters Degree, on a full and part-time basis. The courses have a great element of practical experience which certainly helps the graduates ‘hit the ground running’ whilst also developing their technical, business and communication skills. There are still places available through clearing for the Foundation and Honours Degree programmes, so apply today. If you are looking for a degree course with virtually 100 percent employment success and starting salaries up to £22,000, then come along to our Open Day on August 26 between 3pm and 8pm and see what we have to offer. For more information on any of our courses or facilities freephone 0800 0284291.
