    The recent careers fair at Loughry Campus highlighted the variety of jobs available in today’s fast moving food industry. Our biggest manufacturing sector was well represented and included exhibitors from Dunbia, Fane Valley, Genesis Breads, Norbev, Linden Foods, McColgan’s, Dale Farm, Moy Park, Coca-cola and Glanbia
  • Loughry Campus Higher Education Information Evening
    Once again Loughry opened its doors to all those who had applied to their Higher Education courses through UCAS. There has been a recent upsurge in interest by school leavers for a career in the food and drink manufacturing industry and this was evident during the very busy evening with over 100 people attending the event.
  • O’Neill praises food student bursaries
    Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Michelle O’Neill welcomed industry support for Loughry food students at the recent bursary awards event at Loughry Campus. Ten food students from Loughry’s higher education degree courses secured industry bursaries valued between £1,000 to £4,500.
  • Dream trip to the Netherlands for CAFRE florists
    A group of CAFRE’s Level 3 Diploma in Floristry students will shortly be heading off for a florist’s dream trip to the Netherlands. Janet Lyons (Ballynahinch), Cherith Woods (Omagh), and Penny McIntyre (Coleraine) are part of a group of students who embarked on an exciting new project this year to develop their floristry skills and career prospects.
  • Loughry Campus Student Formal 2012
    The Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown, was the palacial setting for the recent Loughry Campus student formal. Students excelled themselves with glamour, glitter, suits and roses. Congratulations to Student Council President, David Hughes and his team of colleagues on the organising committee for ensuring a successful and enjoyable event.
