Greening your Supply Chain - making it happen
22 April 2010 Calling all businesses in the agri-food sector - are you interested in “greening” your business and making your competitors green with envy? A half day conference on Wednesday 5th May at Loughry Campus, Cookstown (College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise) could be just the ticket. The conference has been organised by students on the full-time MSc communication course with the aim of promoting awareness of environmentally sustainable practices, techniques to increase efficiencies and how to reduce costs within the agri-food sector. Course tutor Dr Roy Nelson outlines the benefits of the conference. The students have secured the services of a really interesting mix of industry speakers who will give first hand accounts of how they have made savings while adopting a “green approach”. There will also be exhibits and information stands from organisations which can show you practical ways of saving money through the efficient use of your business resources. The good news is that the conference is free; however places are limited and anyone interested in attending is required to register prior to the event. If you require any further information please contact the organisers at the following address greenyoursupplychain@googlemail.com
