Loughry on Show at the Chemistry at Work Exhibition
03 December 2008 Loughry Campus has once again participated in the Queen’s University Chemistry at Work exhibition. The event, which took place on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 November 2008, is organised by the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Queen’s University and sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry. The aim of the event is to introduce 14-16 year old pupils to the application of chemistry within a range of work places. Loughry’s exhibit focussed on the role and importance of ‘Acids in Foods’. Over the two days our interactive exhibit was enjoyed by 470 pupils from 19 schools.
