Promising Careers for Loughry Students
19 March 2009 All roads led to CAFRE’s Loughry Campus as representatives from Northern Ireland’s premier food companies gathered for the annual “Focus on Food” Careers Fair. Students heard that our largest manufacturing sector – food – is still actively recruiting. With Loughry graduates having a reputation for excellence based on practical ability, companies were keen to talk to students on National Diploma and Foundation Degree courses as well as undergraduates from the BSc Food Technology and Food Supply Management programmes. With average starting salaries of 18k for graduates, the food industry wants young business people with a technical background to meet the challenges of the 21 century. If you’re interested in a career with loads of opportunities come along to our Open Evening on April 28 or check out this website for more information on our courses.
