Although the vast majority of students at CAFRE’s Greenmount Campus come from Northern Ireland, the reputation of the Campus continues to attract students from further afield. Two potential students, Thomas Miller and his friend Alistair Watson from Castle Douglas in Scotland paid a visit to the Campus recently along with their respective fathers.
- Careers day at Enniskillen Campus
Enniskillen Campus students welcomed twenty two industry representatives to their annual Careers Day. Included were Darley, Baileys, Spillers, Intervet, Horseware, Fort Dodge, Irish Field, Russell Harold (Farrier) and Kanteq. Industry bodies Horse Sport Ireland, BHS, Irish Racehorse Trainers Association, ITBA, NIHB, Turf Club and Prince’s Trust also attended.

All roads led to CAFRE’s Loughry Campus as representatives from Northern Ireland’s premier food companies gathered for the annual “Focus on Food” Careers Fair, where students heard that our largest manufacturing sector – food –is still actively recruiting.

It was the turn of the teachers to go back to the classroom when a number of science teachers from schools across Northern Ireland took time out from their busy timetables to up-date their skills in Microbiology at Loughry Campus, College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE)

It was an early start for the team of five floristry students from CAFRE’s Greenmount Campus who travelled to London to compete in the College Days Competitions organized by New Covent Garden Market and sponsored by LANTRA.

Enniskillen Campus currently provides the widest range of courses in Equine Studies in Ireland and it is holding its annual Spring Open Day on Saturday 28th March commencing 12.00 noon. This will be a great opportunity to view the campus facilities and course range.
