Greenmount Campus was the venue recently for an open session of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee.  Two students, David Kirk and Mark Allen gave a formal presentation to the Committee about their experiences at Greenmount and had to field a number of penetrating questions afterwards.  As Mark succinctly put it; “It wasn’t quite what I was expecting!”

Following lunch the committee members toured the facilities at the campus and were given presentations from both students and staff on the work of CAFRE. Presentations included horticulture and renewable energy technology projects, CAFRE’s work on helping farmers to develop their businesses and horticulture and agriculture education at Greenmount Campus.
