Royal Canin contribute to Veterinary Nurse training
25 February 2009 by Kenneth Johnston, Senior Lecturer, CAFRE, Greenmount CampusStudents on Veterinary Nursing courses at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), Greenmount Campus are constantly aware of the need to have the most up to date information available in order to be ready to sit Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons examinations. They were therefore delighted when Chris Geddes from Royal Canin (the dog and cat nutrition business) came to the Campus recently to talk to them about a very important veterinary topic that could prove useful in achieving that all-important pass mark. Chris Geddes, MA VetMB MRCVS, Veterinary Support Manager with Royal Canin gave a presentation on “General and Clinical Nutrition”, and presented each student with a range of very useful booklets on the subject. Chris’ talk was very interesting and informative and should prove a valuable aid to students in their efforts to be successful in their exams later in the year. . For information about becoming a qualified veterinary nurse contact Kenneth Johnston at CAFRE, Greenmount Campus: Telephone 028 9442 6769 or come to the Veterinary Nursing Open Afternoon at Greenmount from 2.00 - 4.00 pm on Saturday 7 March 2009.
