Another academic year has just begun at Greenmount with students arriving on campus from all parts of Northern Ireland and beyond. It is always refreshing to meet a new intake of young students with high expectations, looking forward to the challenge of learning in a very different environment from school.

It is important, that young people entering the agriculture industry are properly trained. To satisfy this requirement, Greenmount offers a full range of agriculture, horticulture, rural and countryside management, veterinary nursing and other courses.

Students who have recently commenced the one year Certificate Course in Agriculture at Greenmount with instructor Andrew Megarrell are Alister Rickey, Newtownbutler and Andrew Knipe, Armagh.

Students who have recently commenced the 3-year Degree in Agricultural Technology Course at Greenmount in a computer class with senior lecturer Raymond Martin are Jonathan McRoberts, Gilnahirk, David Kwasniewski, Sixmilecross and John Craig, Crumlin.

Students who have recently commenced the three year National Diploma in Agriculture at Greenmount in an Estate Skills class with instructor Stephen Taylor are Jordan McGowan, Carrickfergus, Declan McKernan, Dungannon and Alistair McKnight, Stoneyford.

Students who have recently commenced the three-year National Diploma in Agriculture course at Greenmount are Rosemary Hutchinson, Comber and Feargal Maguire, Garrison.

Students who have recently commenced the Foundation Degree in Rural and Countryside Management Course at Greenmount during one of their first classes are David Scott, Randalstown and Barbara Gault, Limavady.

Fergal McNally, Clontibret (in tractor cab) who has recently commenced the three year Higher National Diploma in Agriculture at Greenmount ploughing a field on the Campus farm for winter wheat under the watchful eye of final year student Andrew Blair, Limavady, during their crops enterprise management class.
