A Big Thank You from Loughry Students for Children in Need
17 December 2008 For Children In Need 2008, students at Loughry Campus, College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) raised a marvellous £1671. This total was raised as a result of Loughry’s ‘bed push’ through the streets of Cookstown. Special thanks to Dennis the Menace (Steven Woods, Banbridge), Barney (Christopher Boyd, Ballymena) and Pudsey Bear (David Hughes, Ballymoney) who all made a special appearance to aid the appeal. Furthermore, the students, staff (and of course Pudsey Bear) would like to say a big thank you to all members of the public and local businesses, who contributed most generously to the Children in Need Appeal. Your help was very much appreciated and valuable to the success of the event.
