The Perfect Christmas Pudding
22 December 2008 Once again it is the time of year when thoughts turn to Christmas, we at the CAFRE’s Loughry Campus would like to share the recipe for a perfect plum pudding. Take a group of highly motivated and enthusiast National Diploma students add the wonderful ingredients as laid down in our production schedules and turn loose with the state of the art production plant in our Food Technology Centre. Surround the entire process with our Quality Assurance procedures and Health & Safety systems. Add to this staff that are experts in the field of Food Technology and blend all these in a practical session at Loughry Campus. The result will be a perfect Christmas pudding. Loughry students undertake a wide range of food production practicals as part of their studies. Students also pick up other personal or transferable skills such as team working, working to deadlines and to exacting requirements. It is little wonder that over 98 percent of Loughry graduates are in employment or in higher education courses within six months of completing a National Diploma course.
