Loughry students wish you a “Healthy New Year”!
06 January 2011

January is the time of year when many of us are determined to keep our New Year Resolutions. This often means a renewed commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

National Diploma students at Loughry Campus are well placed to offer advice to fellow learners, friends and family. As part of the National Diploma in Food Nutrition & Health, students embarked on an annual Health Promotion Campaign. Designing colourful eye-catching displays, leaflets and consumer surveys and recommending examples of healthier alternatives are all part of this practical exercise.

This year the students advised on the benefits of considering healthier Christmas treats, reducing alcohol consumption and suggesting diet plans for the New Year.

If your New Year’s resolution is to explore exciting career opportunities why not consider a career in food? CAFRE have a wide range of exciting courses from BTEC to Degree level for students finishing GCSE or A-Levels with genuine career opportunities.
