Course Aim

Food, Nutrition and Health is always in the news. Health promotion is particularly important as we strive to deal with nutritional trends and the challenges they present.

This part-time course is designed to develop the knowledge and understanding of the link between food, nutrition and health.

Career destinations

The course has been designed to meet the needs of industry and society, preparing students for careers at supervisory level in food and nutrition related industries. A range of jobs is available including quality controllers, laboratory technicians or product development technologists.

Entry Requirements:

Dependent on experience, relevant work within the food industry will be recognised. A basic knowledge of literacy, numeracy and science is desirable.

Course Progression:

Relevant Degree courses, typically Food Technology or Food Nutrition and Health.
