Course Aim:
The Postgraduate Certificate course develops the communication skills required by supervisors /managers to effect positive change in the agri-food and rural business sector. The course consists of three modules, which concentrate on the individual skills required to work effectively and provide an introduction into the core concepts associated with the two options on the Postgraduate Diploma programme.
Course Content:
Examples of topics covered on the course include: developing others, motivating and providing leadership, facilitate organisational change and communicate effectively in a range of situations.

- Communication Dynamics
- Managing the Learning Process
Entry Requirements:
A Degree or Higher National Diploma in Agriculture, Food, Environmental Science, Business Studies, Science or related area.
Additional Qualifications:
During the course, students may have the opportunity to achieve additional, nationally recognised qualifications to complement their course, which can give a competitive advantage in employment or career progression. These qualifications include:
- Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Food Safety Certificates;
- Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Foundation Certificate in Health & Safety in the Workplace;
- European Computer Driving Licence.
These programmes are classified as short competency-based courses and are widely recognised by the industry.
