Banking on a winner Robert Frazer Banbridge joint first overall in the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Work-based Agriculture. Cormac McKervey Head of Agriculture in the Ulster Bank presented him with the Ulster Bank Cup to acknowledge an excellent achievement. |

Combining engineering and entrepreneurship The Robert Canning Award for workshop projects in the Land-based Technology programme was won by Graeme Warden of Newtownards. Graeme was presented with the prize at Greenmount Campus Awards Day by Robert Canning. |

Success for Sarah Sarah Lyness from Moira with her daughter Paige at the Greenmount Awards Day. Sarah successfully combined motherhood and studying when she was awarded a Higher National Certificate in Agriculture. |

All three members of the family are currently employed by CAFRE - David works in engineering at Greenmount, Sandra is a senior lecturer at Loughry and Michael is currently employed for the summer at Greenmount before continuing his studies in September |

Children’s Charity Benefits Matthew Jones took time out from his HND graduation to present a cheque for £2,500 on behalf of the Greenmount Student Council to Brian Barry for the Belfast Hospital for Sick Children through Helping Hands. |

Genuine Castlewellan Gold John McCabe from Ballyward, Castlewellan received the Hall Cup for Work Experience as part of the National Diploma in Agriculture. John worked on a 1,000 acre arable / dairy farm in Stafford, England for 12 months as part of his course |
