Overview

(This course was previously known as Basic Food Hygiene).

This course covers the basics required in the area of basic food safety. The course enables participants to understand the principles of food safety and how to prevent contamination of food.

Assessment

By a 30 question multiplie choice paper (available in a range of languages).

Who is the Course for?

Courses are run for farmers and growers, and for groups from the food industry.

Course Content

  • Understand the principles of food hygiene.
  • Prevent contamination of food.
  • Assess methods of waste and pest control.

This course leads to the award of a Level 2 Award in Food Safety.
