Packaging Challenge

Overview

The Packaging Challenge is a unique programme designed to meet industry training and development needs. The programme is practically based and includes supported implementation of a work-based project.

Course duration and structure

The course duration is either nine months (Advanced Award) or twelve months (Advanced Certificate) and includes the following modules:

  • Protective Role of Packaging
  • The Selling Function of Packaging
  • Properties & Specification Interpretation
  • Managing Packaging
  • The Packaging Development Process

Optional modules include:

  • The Packaging Line
  • Corrugated Cases
  • Hazards of Storage & Distribution
  • Properties & Application of Plastics

The Advanced Certificate also requires the completion of a work-based project.

Course Delivery

For the benefit of people working in the industry, this course is delivered one day every 2-3 weeks.

Applications are considered on an individual basis, however the programme is primarily aimed at individuals who handle and manage the use of packaging.
