Trainee View:

"The preliminary beekeeping course provided me with a comprehensive overview of keeping and looking after bees. It also helped me understand that bees are wild creatures we cannot fully control, but the more we know about them and try to understand them, the better we are equipped to work with them and benefit from what they have to offer. 2008 has been a bad year for bees, though I am sure the course helped me provide better for the welfare of my bees and in turn they gave me a quantity of honey I might not otherwise have had. The ten course sessions gave me an opportunity to meet and share the experiences of other beekeepers as well as to enjoy their company."
