As the winter draws in and the CREAM cows are now fully housed one of our first jobs as CREAM students was to commence the winter clip for the CREAM herd.
Marcus Stewart (HND 1) (top) and supervising student Michael Woodrow (BSc2) commence the task of carrying out the CREAM herd’s winter clip.
Under the watchful eye of supervising student Teresa Owens (BSc 2), Phillip Cargill (HND 1) clips the head of one of the herds’ higher yielding cows, Creamer Gibson Annemarie who yielded 10,663 KG milk in 290 days at 4.24 percent butterfat and 3.08 protein as a second calver. |
