Funding for full time students may be available if they meet eligibility criteria.

Further Education

DARD Further Education Awards are administered by the Western Education and Library Board (WELB) on behalf of DARD. Students enrolled on a full-time Further Education course at CAFRE should therefore apply to WELB for financial support.

There are no tuition fees for full-time Further Education courses.

Higher Education

The administration of Higher Education Awards are administered by Student Finance NI.

Student Finance NI is a partnership between the Education and Library Boards (ELBs) and the Student Loans Company (SLC) for delivering financial support to students on behalf of the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) Northern Ireland.

Students should therefore apply to their local Education and Library Board for financial support.

CAFRE Tuition Fees 2013/14 :-

The tuition fees for full-time Higher Education courses for students from Northern Ireland and other countries in the European Economic Area will be £1425 per year.

Students who ordinarily reside in England, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man who start the first academic year of a full-time higher education course on or after 1 September 2012, the tuition fee payable in each academic year is £9,000.
