Welcome from the College Director Mr John Fay

On behalf of the college I welcome you to our Bursary launch for 2009. The bursaries are open to all first year Higher Education students on Horticulture, Agriculture and Countryside Management programmes.
One of the main challenges for CAFRE in this and the years ahead will be to complement the needs of industry with new and emerging talent, talent that has a burning desire to engage with education, interact with the industry and ultimately boost productivity.
The bursaries offered by CAFRE in association with industry represent a first step in this process of nurturing the brightest and best talent available with the motivation and ability to succeed.
The college is indebted to the industry sponsors who have supported our students in the past and continue to do so in these bursaries for the 2009-2010 academic year.
