RSPB Education for Sustainable Development Programmes

The Schools programmes are designed to bring learning to life. Groups will investigate seasonal changes, farming, farmland habitats and their associated wildlife, along with a range of environmental issues. Hands on activities are used where possible to encourage student participation, learning and retention of information. All programmes are risked assessed and linked to the National Curriculum focusing particularly on Science, but also involve History, Maths, English and Geography. Trained RSPB field teachers, using specially developed programmes, facilitate pre-school, primary and secondary school children these programmes are delivered from mid March to June and from mid September through to mid November. A visit to Greenmount will increase your pupil’s knowledge of the environment through experiential learning; this will promote a knowledge and respect for wildlife and natural places.

For all group booking there is a charge per child attending of £2 (half day) or £3 (full day)
