Agriculture is one of Northern Ireland’s most important industries. Farmers manage almost 80 percent of our land, so the link between environmental stewardship and food production is vitally important.

A knowledge and understanding of good environmental conservation is essential for people to appreciate, endorse and support good environmental stewardship.

CAFRE, have teamed up with the RSPB  to encourage a greater understanding of farming and the farmer’s role in caring for the countryside.

Primary and Secondary school programmes are curriculum – linked, the learning experience is designed to be hands-on and delivered by trained RSPB field teachers.
