Strong interest in equine education
The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise’s Enniskillen Campus recently hosted a very successful open day. Prospective students travelled from all over Ireland to view the excellent equine facilities at the campus. Over 170 prospective students, parents and friends were welcomed to the Campus by Seamus McAlinney before Jane Elliott, Senior Lecturer gave an overview of the equine courses and facilities available at the campus. The guests also had an opportunity to view the accommodation and equine facilities which incorporates a racing unit including gallops, a breeding unit and an equitation unit. Visitors attending the Campus were very impressed by all that they saw in addition to the the informal, friendly atmosphere and the warm welcome provided by staff. Enniskillen Campus currently provides the widest range of equine courses in Ireland, offering full time courses from Level 2 Diploma through to Degree Level and equine industry training. In addition to completing their formal academic studies, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, which complement formal course work, throughout the academic year. All of which gives the Enniskillen Campus students a first class experience both from an academic and practical perspective.
