The library plays a vital role in supporting teaching, learning and development work at the campus. Here you will find not only books, but journals, newspapers, reports and a growing range of electronic services including CD-ROMs and online databases. The library is a major information resource and the aim of the library staff is to help you make the best use of the lending, reference and enquiry services. There are introductory seminars for new students on all aspects of using the library and its resources. Throughout the year informal advice will be freely available from the qualified librarians and student support guides are available. With increasing emphasis on student centred learning, the library and computer suites are a focal point for students.

Our enquiry service provides help and support in preparing for assignments and projects. THe library has a web based catalogue which allows you to search for books and periodicals, renew your own loans and reserve items on loan to other readers. Collections in Loughry, Greenmount, Enniskillen and Dundonald House can be searched on the catalogue. The campus library is connected to JANET (Joint Academic Network) providing access to a vast range of data and services.

As well as being accessible from the Library many of these services are available from any off campus computer with Internet access, which means they can be used from home.

The Inter-Library loan scheme offered through the British Library Service gives direct access to all the United Kingdom libraries.

The library is progressive and up-to-date. The latest advances in information technology are used to support lectures and access to research information worldwide including in excess of 1,600 journals.

All computer workstations in the libraries have word processing, spreadsheet and database applications installed. Students have access to the students Intranet site which provides information such as timetables, course notes, tutorials and past examination papers.

A self-service photocopying facility is also available at modest cost.
